About this game

Royal Chess is a complete game of chess on a hand-painted wooden board rendered in tilted 2.5D, with tall standing pieces and a warm gold-and-wood look. Every rule is here: castling, en passant, pawn promotion (pick your piece), check, checkmate, stalemate, the fifty-move rule and insufficient-material draws — all verified by a proper move generator. Take on the built-in computer opponent across three difficulty levels, from a relaxed Easy that makes human mistakes to a Hard minimax engine that punishes them, and choose to play as White or Black. Prefer a real rival? Pass-and-play two-player mode lets two people share one screen. Tap a piece to see its legal moves highlighted, take a move back when the CPU outwits you, and pick up exactly where you left off. No download, no sign-up — just open and play.
